The Stupid Tales

The usual Fairy Tales tell us about the characters facing some fantastical circumstances and the way they deal with these circumstances using their skills and wits. They often have to deal with supernatural forces mush more powerful than common humans.

In The Stupid Tales, on the contrary, we have some fictional characters put into the most common circumstances. And the peculiarity of the characters only emphasizes the banality of everything that is happening around them.

All the characters bear resemblance to recognizable folklore creatures from the famous Russian Fairy Tales. The main part of this resemblance lays in their Russian names echoing to the original sources.

So here we have The Ball Bird which name in Russian sounds like "Shar-Ptitsa" which is very similar to

"Zhar-Ptitsa" (Firebird), the popular slavic mythological character showing up in many Fairy Tales and legends.

All the Stupid characters also have their own Stupid Tales, the short stories with a bit of sarcastic irony.
